The Colorado River Indian Reservation has opened both Bighorn Sheep and Sandhill Crane to hunting.

Please apply for the draw before 11:59pm on July 31st 2026. Applications received later than this will not be considered.
THIS IS A GUIDED HUNT ONLY!
THIS IS A LIMITED HUNT!
No more than 1 tribal and 1 non-tribal tag will be drawn.
Season Dates: October 1st 2026 – December 31st 2026
Shooting hours: From one-half hour
before sunrise until one half hour after
sunset.
No more than one (1) adult male (ram)
may be taken or in possession at a time.
This is a lifetime bag limit.
Bighorn Sheep tag (if drawn)
$300 (Tribal) $1,800 (Non-Tribal)
Draw application fee (per species)
$13 (Tribal) $15 (Non-Tribal)

To Our Hunters,
On behalf of the Colorado River Indian Tribes, we would like to formally apologize and inform the public that we are required to close the Sandhill Crane Hunt for the current and all future seasons.
This decision is the result of an oversight of a miscommunication between the Colorado River Indian Tribes and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service regarding federal regulations and Sandhill Crane population management in Arizona. While we understand this closure may be disappointing, it is necessary to ensure compliance with applicable wildlife management requirements and conservation measures.
Full refunds will be provided to all individuals who purchased Sandhill Crane hunting tags, as well as refunds of any associated raffle entry fees. Additional information regarding the refund process will be made available to affected participants.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding, patience, and continued support as we work through this matter. The Colorado River Indian Tribes remain committed to responsible wildlife management and to providing quality hunting opportunities in the future.
